Aeris Mandrake is a singer-songwriter working somewhere between dream pop, indie rock, and liminal alternative.
Her songs move through damaged electronics, distorted guitars, dead malls, unreliable memories, and all the embarrassing ways people manage to hurt each other.
Producer Gordon Vanguard first encountered her work through a collection of unfinished demos and unidentified audio files. What began as an attempt to reconstruct the recordings became Dashing Young Man, her debut album.
Aeris remains difficult to contact directly.
